Getting Moved
Well, moving has gone fairly well thus far. Ryan was able to borough his dad's truck for the week, so we've been able to get quite a bit moved. We're hoping to get all of our bigger stuff (i.e. furniture) moved by tomorrow night because Becky's parents are coming into town on Thursday, and then we're going down for our friend Rob's wedding on Friday (I'm actually going down Thursday night to my parents). We've gotten enough moved to "live" here, so we'll be sleeping, showering and what not here from now on. We even had the cable installed today, so I'm actually able to write this at the new place as well.
This should make our room mate happy, although not nearly as happy as we are to get out of there. Apparently, after neglecting it all summer long, she has decided to do yard work such as cutting the weeds next to the house, trimming the hydrangea in front and weeding her mangy garden in the back. She even went out and bought more mulch. We decided she must think that she'll be able to enjoy it with us gone. Which is ridiculous being as she's moving out at the end of the month as well, and it's not like we're going to just disappear. We'll still have stuff left to move next week, and then we'll need to clean. How she's going to enjoy that house when all she has is a bed and a crappy futon is kind of beyond me. I feel like cutting all the flowers off the stems of all the plants, but I guess I'll be nice and let it be.

Ah, fun with plants… When I was in college, one of my roommates bought a huge fern for the apartment. We named the plant Fernando. Between Derek, James & I, we watered Fernando and used a spray bottle to mist him everyday. Our fourth roommate, who didn’t get along with us too well, replaced the water in the spray bottle with hairspray without us knowing about it. The hairspray was clogging Fernando’s stoma (aka pores in the plant leaves) and interfered with the plant’s ability to photosynthesize and respiration. Before we realized that we were killing Fernando with a spray bottle, Fernando died.
