Kentucky Fried Ohio

I went to Kentucky over memorial day weekend to visit some friends, although it's more like I went to Ohio because they live just outside Cincinnati. The drive down was fairly uneventful and long (about 12 hours) although we went the wrong direction in Cincinnati, but I had my GPS and it gave us another route that was about the same distance. Friday night after a baseball game there were fireworks in Cincinnati, which you can see the entire skyline from their apartment.

On saturday our friend Holly had to work, but she works in a museum and so we went and she showed us around for most the day. The museum is supposed to be one of the top 100 most interesting buildings in the world or something (it's actually in like the top 50). That night we went out and walked around town a bit. Sunday we went to a park and rented paddle boats. After we drove around Cincinnati for a while and they showed us around.
Something interesting about Kentucky is they apparently opened the creationist museum where they claim the earth is really only about 6 thousand years old and humans lived at the same time as dinosaurs. Apparently we "harnessed" their power!! It amuses me (more in a sad way) that they refer to it as creation "science"...
Anyway, we came back yesterday, another 12 hour drive, and then I got to drive another three more to Duluth! I almost got stuck in Rochester too... When we got there my car wouldn't start, the alternator is dead or something, so I didn't make it back until about two in the morning. It was a long day.

I still haven't started work... Everything is approved, I just have to fill out paper work. I wa s supposed to do it today, but supposedly the hr person is busy today and tomorrow doing payroll... So I'll get to do it Thursday, or else!!
