Macs!

This article is kind of interesting because I've been telling people how surprised I am at how many Macs I see on campus now. It's weird, like the never ending struggle to explain to people how awesome my Mac is is dying. There's a small void in my life *tear*. Actually... it's really nice. The only problem is that I feel less special (like back when I got my iPod and had to explain to everyone what it even was).

You can't get to the article directly, but you can from Apple's Site. It's call "The Mac is back in a big way on campus."

Houses

We went and looked at two houses this weekend. The first one was pretty nice, but in a really nice location, within walking distance from the school. It was close to the price I'd be looking for, and with some work I think it could actually be quite nice.

The other was out in Proctor. It's a house that Ryan's boss bought and fixed up with his brother who is a contractor. I was really nice, it was a decent size and was more or less completely rebuilt. They fixed the foundation and redid the entire inside. The only drawback was that it cost a bit more. Ryan's boss said he might consider leasing to own at some point, but that doesn't make it any cheaper... Anyway.

On the bright side I might get a raise here. The chances aren't that good, but when they do the paper work for my extra six months, my supervisor is going to bring it up (as he was initially going to ask for more until he found out what that took). He did say that assuming that it does become a permanent position (which they're almost sure it will) that I would make more then. I'll just have to wait and see. It would just be nice to have a little more, of course.
