I have worked within the CLA Advising office since 1994. Throughout my time with CLA, I have had many opportunities to be involved and learn a variety of policies, procedures, and systems. My role has evolved from an advisor to the Assistant to the Dean. I continue to advise probationary students, but have become involved in assisting CLA faculty develop new courses and programs, and help coordinate how new courses and programs are designed and managed across the curriculum. I work with new undeclared freshman and new declared freshman in Criminology, Sociology, Anthropology, Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, and students returning to the college to complete their degrees. Working with students as they declare or confirm their major is an important and exciting part of my job.
