Chemical Engineering at UMD, like at other schools is a difficult and stressful degree. There are the classes like separations (ChE 4111) that takes as much work as a semester of classes at the sophomore or junior level by itself. Needless to say there are times when a chemical engineer can feel like he/she lives at school. Luckly the chemical engineering department has a room that if one wished they could practically live in. Welcome to engineering 270.
There are lockers to keep things in, a fridge to store keep food cold, a microwave to warm food up, desks to work at, computers to do whatever, cards to play with, and a radio to prevent it from getting too quiet when noone is around.
