College of Liberal Arts
Fall 2009

The CLA Learning Community Program consists of eleven clusters of 25-28 students who form a community by taking a common set of courses during their first semester at UMD. Each learning community is designed to satisfy Liberal Education Program (LEP) requirements while introducing courses recommended by possible majors. During Advisement & Registration, you will meet with an academic advisor to discuss your learning community choice and to select one to two additional courses.

Is your first choice listed as full? If so, please still select a 1st Choice and 2nd Choice from the remaining communities listed above. In addition, indicate the name of the closed community which is your actual first choice. We will place you on a waiting list for that community. We will only be able to add you to that community if another student cancels.
