We need student programmers!!
Our project involves displaying a radial (spoke-type) maze on the screen and
graphically showing how a rat would collect the food on the maze, using various
thinking strategies for the rat. An intelligent software agent simulates the
rat, and these rat-like intelligent agents utilize neural networks (connectionist
models) and various other contemporary models from artificial intelligence.
The system is multi-threaded and uses message passing to communicate between
threads. We are in the process of developing the graphical user interface for
RatCog interfacing RatCog with an SQL database, and developing new models of
rat behavior and need your help. If you have C++ programming skills, and skills
programming graphical user interfaces, please contact Dr. Chris Prince by email
(chris@cprince.com) or phone (218-726-6514).
If you have artistic skills that would be a real plus, but motivation and enthusiasm
are a good substitute! Get in on the ground floor of exciting, ongoing research!!
