Client Project Posting. Post final version of Client Project by exam time, Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. I will assume that the project is at the same URL that you posted on the discussion board previously. If it is at a different URL, please update the message in the discussion area "URLs of Client Project" with the new URL by choosing the "edit" option in the header of your old message. Naturally, if you didn't post a URL previously, do so by 6 p.m. in that discussion area.

Client Project Supporting Documents. Also by Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m., turn in a print copy (only) of your Client Project Self Commentary and Proposal by 6 p.m., either in my mailbox (420 Humanities between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.) or in our usual classroom between 6 and 6:30 on May 15 .

The Analytical Essay will be due by Friday, May 10 at noon in my mailbox (420 Humanities, open weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.), rather than on the evening of Wednesday, May 8 as originally announced. There is no commentary necessary for this essay. Be sure to include the URL of the Web site you're discussing in this essay as part of your "Works Cited" page. See the Purdue University Online Writing Center's Guide to MLA Citation and Documentation.

Student Web Contest. If your client happens to be a professor at UMD teaching an undergraduate class, your project is eligible for the Student Web Contest. Be sure to apply by January 31, 2003. Don't forget!

Permissions Please turn in a permissions form so your projects can be included in the Student Gallery, soon to be connected to my UMD Web site.

Journal Entry # 14. Read through the criteria.for the last two projects carefully. Then go back through each list, and "rate" each criterion according to how challenging or difficult you see it being, relative to the others, using the four-part grid: running from "NA" for "Not A problem," up to "EX" for "EXtremely challenging." Then, in a journal entry, try "freewriting" (thinking on paper) about the challenges of one or two of the criteria, and how you might better make use of it to improve your project. Try working through some potential problems and solutions.(5/8/02)

Journals should be turned in by Friday, May 10 at noon in my mailbox (420 Humanities, open weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.)
