DEPARTMENT HEAD SEARCH PROCEDURES


1. Selection will be in accordance with the SBE Constitution and UMD Search Procedures for Department Heads.

  • a) Each department selects a nominee and makes a recommendation to the Dean.
  • b) Qualified nominees must be regular full-time faculty in the department.

    2. SBE Department heads normally will serve a four-year term. The four departments rotate term dates (theoretically, each year there will be one department head search).
