CS 3511 Exam Information

Exam Schedule:

Note: Calculators may be used on all the exams, including the final.

Final Exam Information:

• Topics: The exam will include the topics we covered in class from the 5th Edition: Appendices A-1 and A-2, Section 1.5, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Sections 9.1 (skip Trees as Models) and 9.2 (only Decision Trees), and Chapter 11 except for Section 11.2.
• Coverage: In order to obtain "even" coverage of course topics over the two midterm exams and the final, there will be about 33 points worth of questions each on the material covered on the two midterms (for a total of 66 points on that material), and about 134 points worth of questions on the rest of the material since the second midterm.
• Review material: See the "Exam Review Exercises" above.
• Additional review material: At the end of each chapter there are two sections:
  1. Key Terms and Results (which may be useful to review)
  2. Review Questions (some of which look like exam-type questions)
  3. Practice Assignment 14
