Education 5413: Teaching With Technology (4cr)
Focus: Multimedia & Presentations
*Prerequisite: 5412 or consent of instructor*

This is the second course in the Educational Computing & Technology Certification with a primary focus on using the computer as a communication tool.   Specific course topics will include an overview of the Internet, blogs and blogging, wikis, podcasting, CPS  (classroom response systems), interactive television (ITV), video conferencing, Web-X, Web CT, Moodle, Dreamweaver, RSS reader aggregators, Google docs, and webquests.

Each student will develop an individual portfolio to document and showcase their newly acquired computer and technology skills.

Fall Semester: Thursday 5-8:50

Spring Semester:  Thursday 5-8:50
Summer Session:  Weeks 3 and 4
