- Generally it is a good idea to see how you will be graded for an assignment. Check out the grading rubric for this WebQuest here.
-
Your group will research credit cards on the internet starting at the Federal Reserve site (see resource list below). Browse through to information here as it will be helpful when you look at individual credit card sites.
-
-
All group members will search the internet for credit card information and fill in the Credit Card Checklist worksheet for one card only. Each member should research a different credit card.
-
Group members will reunite and share their credit card information.
-
After all credit card information is shared, each group member will decide which card is most appropriate for Cindy (remember she cannot pay $100 of her credit card bill for 4 months…that means she will pay a percentage each month for this debt…find out what that amount would be for each credit card you think is a good fit for Cindy).
-
Write a group report describing your results. Including answers to the following questions:
- What credit cards did the group members decide were best for Cindy? And what were the reasons?
- What are some positive things about credit cards?
- What are some negative things about credit cards?
- Finally, debt can happen quickly when you have a credit card, list three things to help get rid of debt.
8. Present report to class, keeping in mind that every group member must present their recommendation and the use of visual aids is also suggested (like a chart showing the different cost Cindy would have to pay for various credit cards, or the groups recommendations and reasons presented in the form of a table...anything!)
