Comm 3525: Paper #3--Who is a Journalist? By what standards should we judge journalism?

This paper will require you to define who should be considered a journalist. This argument should also address who should not be included in this definition. Take into consideration our discussions on proposals for a national shield law, as well as technological changes in the news environment. Review the theoretical arguments regarding the breadth of constitutional protections afforded journalists by way of the First Amendment. Use specific examples to support your argument. Be sure to provide evidence to bolster claims of fact. Use clear, well-reasoned argument to support your thesis.
