Acid-Base Equilibrium Review. Also see the following in Skoog. You should be able to derive the equations for calucalting pH starting with the relevant equilibrium reaction and the corresponding equilibrium constant expression.

  • Ch 4, pp92-100. pH of solutions of weak acids and bases. Work through all worked-out examples in the chapter (Strongly recommended!)
  • Ch 12, section C. pH of buffer solutions.

Neutralization Titrations II. Titration of strong acids and weak acids. Effect of Ka on titration curves. Titration of weak bases, buffer systems.
