EVE A. BROWNING is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She works in the areas of Ancient Philosophy, Ethics, Classical Studies, Aesthetics, History of Philosophy, and Popular Culture.
Her research interests presently focus on the understanding of non-human animals and wild nature in ancient thought, and on the philosophy of Xenophon. She has published books and articles in the areas of ancient Greek philosophy, ethics, feminist philosophy, history of technology, and classical studies.
At UMD Eve teaches Ancient Greek Philosophy, Classical Mythology, Aesthetics, 19th Century Philosophy, Ethics, Philosophy & World Religions, and Introduction to Philosophy Through Film.
