Note: Kindergarten teachers often use phrases like “1-2-3, Eyes on me;” I’ve used “Uno dos tres, sit in your place,” or 1-2-3, ojos aquí.” This is a good lesson to introduce a signal for your class when it’s listening time. A cultural idiom, which goes along with the frog/worm cues, is “en boca cerrada no entran moscas.” Could be useful to teach, “Ojos aquí, boca cerrada.
