(Read/show the “Primeros Colores” book. Each page has several items of the same color.... use the pages to have the students hear and repeat the color word over and over, in its different forms: “Las bananas son amarillas. Repitan: amarillos. El pato es amarillo. Repitan: amarillo. Or to elicit a one-word response: “Las flores, ¿son rojas o amarillas? (E: Amarillas) Do 3 or 4 pages—no more than 5-7 minutes.
Pues, clase, levántense. Mueven los brazos y los pies. Sí, levántense, muévense, y formen un círculo. Y ahora, ¿De qué color es mi camisa? Es _____ o _____? (Estudiantes contestan). Sí, sí, claro. Es ________ (e.g. blanco.) Llevo blanco. Llevo blanco hoy, clase.
Llevo blanco hoy. Todas las personas que llevan blanco hoy, siéntense. (Teacher sits, students sit down.)
Bueno bueno bueno. Llevamos blanco. Pues, todas las personas que llevan rosado hoy, siéntense. (Repeat with other colors until whole class is sitting.)
