Hola/Intro ideas—bring a puppet to introduce the new topic, write the words las formas on an easel/flip chart
I: Puzzle/TPR vocab presentation: (10 min) Begin with three pieces at a time—ej: círculo, óvalo, triángulo—show a piece and ask, ¿de qué color es este círculo? use frog, “repitan, clase, círculo.” etc. After several repetitions, hand the piece to a student. when all three shapes are passed out, give direction/question: “muestra el triángulo,” “Quién tiene el óvalo,” etc.
Continue w/ 3 at a time until all the piece are handed out.
II: TPR activity— (5 min) Direct students to stand (levántate), give (dále) the shape to someone else, or put (pon) the piece in the puzzle. When all puzzle pieces are back in, close w/ board book.
III: Libro:(5 min) This is a simple picture book you can read aloud and the students will follow. You can have them either repeat or just listen.
