Foods*
Objectives:
- Students will recognize/identify foods: pan, agua, cereal, fruta, chocolate, papa/patata, legumbres, lechuga, tomate, naranjas, carne.
- Students will identify their favorite food.
- Students will understand the concepts of "más", "también".
- Students will understand where chocolate comes from.
- Students will recognize Mexican chocolate.
- Students will recognize healthy foods and portions.
- Students will recognize where foods grow: "huerto".

- The lessons and scripts by Colleen Coffey-Schorr were written for the above objectives. Jane Rupel recommends the following objectives:
- Students will recognize/identify certain foods: pan, agua, cereal, fruta, chocolate, papa/patata, legumbres, lechuga, tomate, naranjas, carne.
- Given two choices, students will answer “Qué te gusta más?” and indicate their preferred food.
- After sufficient modeling of correct use, students will respond to questions including "también.”
- Students will retell the story of where chocolate comes from.
- Students will sample Mexican chocolate.
- Students will sort given foods into food pyramid categories: frutas, legumbres, pan y cereal, leche, carnes.
Body*
Objectives:
- Students will recognize/identify body parts: cabeza, ojos, nariz, boca, orejas, pelo, brazos, pies, manos, hombros.
*Notas:
- Jane Rupel recommends moving this to the Topic on the Senses (changed from merely "Touch" to the "Five Senses and the Body). See Topic 6.
