ELEMENTARY SPANISH CURRICULUM PROJECT
Kindergarten
Topic: Body and Senses
- (Last Updated: August 14, 2006)
Objectives*:
- Students will recognize/identify: soft, hard, rough, bumpy, smooth, fluffy.
*Notas: The lesson plans and scripts match the above objective, which was merely for the sense of touch. Jane Rupel recommends restructuring this topic to include the following objectives:
- When given direction in Spanish, students will point to, or move, the correct body part: cabeza, ojos, nariz, boca, orejas, pelo, brazos, piernas, pies, manos, dedos.
- Students will match each of the five senses (or action verb indicating that sense) with the appropriate body part: ojos/vista/ver; orejas/oído/oir; nariz/olfato/oler; boca/sabor/probar; dedos/tacto/tocar.
- For each sense, students will distinguish between opposing or complementary sensations. Tacto: rugoso/liso; duro/suave; Olfato: bueno/malo; Sabor: dulce/agrio; Vista: blanco/negro; pequeño/grande
