Objectives:

• Students will identify animals of Spanish-speaking world

Script:

M: Buenos días, clase. Hoy es el [número] de [mes]. ¿Cómo están? E: Bien, gracias.

M: Vamos a aprender los nombres de diferentes animales. (Use photos and books, teacher chatter about animals; pass out pictures of each animal to different students and do frequent checks for learning, to teach different animals and to practice "Vive en...". Use animals of Lección 1 plus new animals listed above.)

M: Vamos a leer un cuento de un chico que sale y ve muchos animales. Escuchen. (Leer Salí de paseo. Have students hold pictures of animals found, and hold up photo as they hear the animal name. Show pages of story after students hold up photos.)

M: Para practicar, lleven estas hojas a casa y coloreen los animales y escriban su nombre. Luego escriban: Vive en ....*

M: Bueno, clase, ya termina la clase. Son las 4:00 de la tarde.   Hasta el (lunes).  ¡Hasta luego! E: Adios.
