M: Vamos a escuchar una historia sobre cómo aparecieron las estrellas en el cielo. Hay muchas historias que tratan de explicar la aparición de las estrellas. Una historia está en El Popol Vuh, la historia de la creación de los mayas, que viven en Yucatán y Guatemala.
M: El libro que vamos a leer se llama La noche de las estrellas. (Simply the text a bit, and use pictures to teach key words: pueblo, noche/día, luz/oscuridad, montaña/campo, casas/iglesia/plaza, cielo, agujeritos, puño/dedo. Read story once through, then pass out photos of key words. As you read the second time, students show their pictures at appropriate points and act out story. At the end, if you have the glow in the dark stars, turn off the light to see the stars.)
