ELEMENTARY SPANISH CURRICULUM PROJECT

Third Grade

Topic: Body and Five Senses

Objectives:

• Students will identify the following parts of the body: cabeza, pelo, ojos, orejas, oído, nariz, boca, lengua, dientes, labios, nuca, hombros, brazos, manos, dedos, pecho, barriga/estómago, piernas, rodillas, pies, dedos; time permitting, cintura, barbilla)
• Students will identify the parts of the body used in the five senses (oído, nariz, lengua, mano, ojo)
• Students will understand and identify the terms for the five senses: oír, oler, saborear, tocar, ver; oigo, huelo, saboreo, toco, veo
• Students will understand adjectives which describe their world: duro/suave/áspero/peludo/espinoso, fuerte/bajo, dulce/amargo, grande/pequeño, bien/mal
• Students will associate activities they do with appropriate body parts
