To access WebX:
Note: the folder will be set up after the semester begins. Wait to do this until told.
- Go to the following site: http://www.d.umn.edu/webx . For name, use your e-mail name. For password, use "webx" (you can change this, once you have entered, using "Preferences" at the bottom of the screen and then "Change Password"). Hit "Login". [NOTE: Do not change your name in "Preferences".]
- Go to "Eileen Zeitz", & open.
- Open Latino Lits and Cultures folder.
- Open the file which corresponds to the assignment (Hello) or (Latino News and Cultural Events)
- Go below to the box and type in your summary, & hit "Post Message"
- To read all entries, open one, and then open "All Msgs"
- To reply to a given posting, hit reply, then scroll down to the box, type your reply, and hit "Post message"
NOTE: When moving around within the folder and discussions for this class, do NOT hit the "back" button on your computer. Rather, go to the main folder or the discussion folder by clicking on the linked name.

2. 'Latino' News and Cultural Events
a. Due Wed, Apr 23, 9:00 am
In the second half of the semester, students will be asked to go to http://www.latinousa.org/program/index.html and to listen to various programs.
Students will then be expected to write a reflective reaction to the programs, and post their reactions at web x site.
b. Due Fri, Apr 25, 9:00 am
Students will then be expected to respond to 1 of their classmates' postings.
The grade for this activity will be based on the quality of the reflective reaction, the coherence of your writing, and the depth of the response. This activity is worth 5% of your grade.
