Reaction Papers

Praxis Exam (see Assessments 6)

1. Write a reaction paper in which you analyze the test: To what extent does it incorporate the National Standards and ACTFL proficiency guidelines? What types of communication strategies and language structures is it testing? (The French and German are similar to the Spanish version, but I recognize that the specific language structures will likely be somewhat different.)
2. Write a second part in which you analyze the rubrics: To what extent do they reflect what you learned in 1-5? How do they match up to the Proficiency Performance Guidelines?

Culture Micro-Teaching (see Lesson Plan / Micro-Teaching 4)

After uploading the movie of your teaching of culture, you should write a reaction paper:

• a) describe what you see with respect to your teaching, student reaction and learning, and the classroom;
• b) analyze what works well and what might be changed;
• c) reflect on what you learned from viewing this tape.
