Tips
Printing PowerPoint Presentations:
Step 1: Select Print
Step 2: Change "Slides" to "Handout"
Step 3: Select how many slides per page
Step 4: Select "Ok"
Downloading (Saving) PowerPoint Files
- Click "Download presentation"
- If the file is being saved on your local compter, note
what it's called and where it's being saved.
- If it opens in
Internet Explorer, as it may on a PC running Microsoft Windows, you
can save
it for later use by doing a "File > Save
as." Note what it's called and where it's being saved.
- Open the file, by double clicking it (or open PowerPoint and
then do a "File > Open").
- If you don't have PowerPoint, download the free
PowerPoint Viewer (see below).
- If the file opens in Internet Explorer, as it may on a PC running Windows,
you can view and print it from there, without having to save it to your local
computer.
Saving Money on Printing
- Download and print outlines, when available.
- Lighten dark presentaiton backgrounds:
Requires Microsoft PowerPoint; click
"View > Grayscale."
- Print multiple slides on
a single sheet of paper. From within PowerPoint, or from within Internet
Explorer
5 on Windows 2000, you can:
- Print a Handout (2+ slides/page)
- Print an Outline (text, without graphics).
