Message From Coach D: (12/04/06)
 "Great job on
the last game of the season, we have really improved as a whole. Even
though our playoff dreams are over with, we are already looking forward to
the Spring 2007 semester. Remember to invite your friends to play on the team, especially if you know any
girls. I hope everyone had fun this year and I look forward to playing
broomball with you again next semester." ~Coach D
Coach D is captain of the mighty
Blue Balls broomball team, which is a new tradition at UMD Duluth in
recreational sports. We play in a co-ed intramural league where people can
gather to play broomball throughout the year and have fun. The Name
"Blue Balls" comes from the fact that the broomballs at UMD are
all blue as are some of the helmets rented to the players (Besides the
obvious alternative meaning of the name).
As a team we value:
- Having fun
- Good sportsmanship
- Exercising
- Competition
