David Wermerskirchen is captain of the mighty Blue Balls broomball team, which is a new tradition at UMD Duluth in recreational sports. We play in a co-ed intermural leauge where people can gather to play broomball throughout the year and have fun. The Name "Blue Balls" comes from the fact that the broomballs at UMD are all blue as are some of the helmets rented to the players (Besides the obvious alternative meaning of the name).
