The Department of Management Studies regards plagiarism as a serious offense. There have been several recent examples in the media of problems associated with plagiarism. One real problem is that people can "fall into" plagiarizing without meaning to by not paraphrasing or quoting other works correctly. We want to help students overcome these pitfalls. To read the department's unofficial statement on on plagiarism, as well as some helpful hints on avoiding problems, click here.

Some students have indicated that a guide to case analysis would be useful. Here it is. (Please note - this is still very rough. Any comments / suggestions you have for improvement would be greatly appreciated!)

I know that some of you access UMD resources from non-UMD internet service providers (Charter Communications and the like). Of course, one of the problems is getting the UMD servers to recognize you as a legitimate UMD user. One of my students has compiled a useful document outlining how to use VPN software which allows you to access UMD content from non-UMD ISPs. For the document, click here.
