ABAH was originally called Classroom-Office Building, but was renamed in 1973 after Mr. Adolph Benoni Anderson (1883-1951), who worked, fought, and pleaded along with other prominent Duluthians to get the first branch of the University of Minnesota created in Duluth. The hall was built in 1968-70 and cost $1.0 million.
