History:

Cina Hall was originally called Social Science Building, and was renamed in 1985 after Mr. Fred A. Cina (1908-1984) who supported UMD efforts in the State House of Representatives, and helped keep bipartisan support of legislators in Duluth and the Iron Range. The hall was built in 1958-59 and cost $800,000.
