Our primary missions are to promote safe skiing and snowboarding attitudes to the public, and to provide emergency rescue and medical services to injured skiers and snowboarders at the Giants Ridge Ski Resort. If you enjoy helping people and would like to play an important part in the operation of a ski area, we invite you to join us.
	Giants Ridge has 34 of the best groomed alpine ski runs in the Midwest, 60 km of superb cross-country ski trails, as well as one of the finest terrain parks for the boarder to be found anywhere. In 2003, SKI Magazine selected Giants Ridge as the best Minnesota ski area.

Alpine and Nordic races, along with other special events are held at the resort throughout the ski season. The Ski Patrol provides emergency medical support for these events, and helps with other activities as diverse as a snow cross hill climb held in the spring...

...and programs to help adaptive skiers reach their full potential.

We provide thorough training in outdoor emergency medical care and in safely transporting an injured person from the hill. Emergency medical training classes meet for four hours one night a week, and ski training is on weekends. Total training takes about a year.
