SPIM/SAL Documentation
SPIM is a simulator for the Simple Abstract Language (SAL), MIPS
Assembly Language (MAL), and True Assembly Language (TAL) described in
A Programmer's View of Computer Architecture, by James Goodman and
Karen Miller.
XSPIM is a X-Windows based graphical user interface to SPIM.
SPIM and XPIM were written by James R. Larus and modified to support SAL by
Scott Kemph.
The MIPS architecture is based on a design by John Hennessy.
The design is implemented by several companies under license from MIPS
Computer Systems, Inc.
