This web site is intended as a brief introduction to the basic languages of web development. If you are interested in learning more see A Guide to Web Development and Programming Languages. This web site was recommended to me by a young woman named Anna via her mentor Kelly Ackford.

One of my interests outside of computer science is the human mind. My biggest hero in this area is Maria Montessori1. She developed her ideas on education in her "Casa del Bambino", educating young children in the basement of a tenement hall in Rome. The one thing that stands out from reading about this is that the desire to learn is widespread, regardless of race, sex, religion, or economic status. Because of this, I would like to recommend the following site, which attempts to deal with some of the problems faced by disadvantaged groups in computer science and other technical disciplines: A guide for women interested in a programming career.
