Childhood Issues: Local, National, Global

This Freshman Seminar fulfills liberal education requirement. This seminar involves students in readings, research, discussion, creative presentations, and service learning. Preparation for and attendance at each class is required since concepts will be built inductively through the class activities. Children's issues will be explored from a variety of perspectives using evidence from different sources. An ecological model will provide the framework for organizing and interpreting the information gathered and discussed.
