Problem-Based Learning
From Problem-Based Learning, we learned that is important to clearly delineate content. We also learned that a case-based approach leads to clear and humane integration of theory and practice. Practitioners become much more sensitive to the needs of the people with whom they work
Case Based Research
From Shulman's work using cases in teacher education, we learned that it is important to continue with the home and critique group processes. We also need to consider more dialogue about the results with the wider community. Yet this brings up many serious issues related to confidentiality.
Philosophical Change Model
From the Philosophical Model, we learned that it is important for two people to dialogue together about what the ends are to which one is working. We learned that it is meaningful to connect means and ends in developing cases. This will be more of an emphasis next time we offer the class.
