The teacher fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community to support students’ learning and well being.

Here is an example of a survey given out to students in order to learn more about students,
their lives, and the ways they learn best.  It also is very helpful in terms of understanding
students and cultivating relationships.

Example: Letter to Family
Relationships are not limited to students alone.  Parents and families are also a part
of the equation.  The following is an example of a letter sent out to families.

Example: Parent Teacher Conferences
One obvious example of teachers fostering relationships beyond only students is the
parent teacher conferenct.  During my student teaching experience I was able to hold multiple
"parent evening" interviews.
