Principle 3:

Learning styles/diversity
The teacher understands how students differ in their approaches to learning and creates instructional opportunities that are adapted to diverse learners.

Example: Experience in a diverse school
The placement for my student teaching experience was at an
international school in Shanghai, China.  Here I had experiences
teaching students from more than 20 different counrtries.

Example: Teaching students with various english speaking abilities

One example of creating an adapted instructional oppurtunity can be seen
in my lesson planning.  In this particular lesson I make sure to differentiate
the instruction in order to accomodate the ESL students in the class.
