Principle 6:

Communication/knowledge
The teacher uses knowledge of effective verbal, nonverbal and media communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom.

Example: Adoption of new Media

In today's world technology is constantly advancing.  This also means that
our classroom technology is also advancing.  One such 'nonverbal
communication' device used in my classroom is the interactive white board.
This device which links a computer to a touch screen via a projector allows
for some new types of interaction in the classroom.
