IE 3115 Operations Research
Course Objective:
The course will prepare students to solve management science problems and build computer models to solve various optimization problems in the decision-making process. Students will apply their knowledge of linear and non-linear programming to optimize resource allocation under different conditions. We will discuss the role of modeling in business management, the application of analytical techniques to create models and evaluate alternatives, as well as present the results in an effective manner to help implementation. The modeling techniques discussed during the course will focus on using Excel Premier Solver®.
