Outside Event/Activity Assignment

Attend a play, public debate, a public meeting, a cultural function, or some other event relating to an issue in this class or take a trip to another country or city/region in Sweden.

  1. Summarize what happened, including describing what the event/trip was, its purpose, who its intended audience was (for event), and other relevant background information.
  2. Relate this event/trip to issues dealt with in class readings/videos/discussions. Cite sources as appropriate (and include in reference list at the end as well).
  3. Summarize your critical impressions, noting your reactions, your thoughts on why you reacted as you did, how attending this event/taking this trip has changed/influenced you.
  4. Present your report in the form of a written or illustrated essay (with photographs/pictures/drawings). Approximate length: 2-3 pages of text (double spaced)
