Minnesota eFolio Assignment

Purpose:

To create a professional portfolio using Minnesota eFolio (free online professional portfolio)

Background preparation:

Review the following links, familiarizing yourself with what eFolio is, look at examples of how others have used it, and follow the tour and guidelines on how to create your own eFolio.

Assignment directions:

Create a professional eFolio for yourself using your Minnesota eFolio account. Develop this to share not only with me (Helen) and our Educ 5413 class, but also with prospective employers in mind. Look at the examples in the Gallery for ideas (such as Eric Branson's eFolio). Note: This is to be a professional portfolio, not a personal one (so all links and documents that you provide should be related to you as a professional). Your eFolio should contain at least the following:

Introduction: tells other professionals in your field about who you are (such as your major, areas of interests/expertise, your university). It should also give viewers an overview of your eFolio and what they will find in the different areas.
Work samples: upload or link to (ie: samples that you have on your UMD website) at least two different work samples from this class, as well as any other work samples that you have created relevant to your profession.
Photograph: of you or that you have taken (relevant to your work) with appropriate annotation.
Professional web links: include some relevant professional links with annotations regarding their relevance to your career.

In addition to the above basics, you should challenge yourself to explore and incorporate other aspects of eFolio based on your particular interests and accomplishments. (List these on your assignment rubric in the space provided).
