Teaching with Technology Annotated Resource List Assignment

Develop a list of annotated resources for teaching with technology. This assignment is designed to help you begin collecting and organizing resources to help you use technology effectively as an educational tool. I encourage you to customize it and make it meaningful and useful to you, given your own educational goals and interests. Thus I have not provided a rubric for this as each person's assignment will be different .Whatever approach you take, however, you must provide correct citations and meaningful annotations.

You may have as many different categories as you wish, but should at a minimum have at least 5 examples under each of the following types of categories. You may certainly include any of the web sites used in our course, but in addition to these you should come up with your own examples and your own annotations for each. I have given some examples for each category below, but have not provided annotations (you should visit these sites. If you like them and wish to use them, you should develop your own annotations).

1. Teacher resource web sites. Examples:

Format for list and annotations:

• Name of web site or application
• Web page/application author and publication details (including URL)
• Brief description of purpose of this page/application
• Brief suggestion of how this might be used as a tool for teaching and learning (if specific to a subject or grade level, include relevant details)
