Weekend Trip To Salisbury, Stonehenge and Bath
|
| January 31st through February 2nd our group headed to Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath. It had SNOWED in Birmingham the day before so we thought that we might see a white Stonehenge...no such luck, BUT, we did freeze our buns which is close enough! | ![]() |

Pulteney Bridge
crossing the River Avon in Bath which is a copy of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge
in Florence.
|
| We walked where Romans walked on ancient stone pavements around the steaming pool. We explored the ruins of the Temple of Sulis Minerva, hidden beneath the elegant Georgian Pump Room. We felt the heat of the spring waters, bringing health and vitality to Bath for over 2,ooo years. | ![]() |
