PAYMENT FOR PROGRAMMEThe cost of the 2003-2004 programme is $14,450. Students have made a $350 deposit towards programme payment. The next deposit of $500 is due June 15 with the total remaining balance due of $13,600 . Fall semester's payment will be $9,520 and spring semester's payment will be $4,080. Students can elect to pay each term's amount in full or in installments. There is a $10.00 billing charge for each installment. Payment for the Programme Payment is made utilizing the UMD Accounts Receivable program with billings sent to the participant at an American address. The billings will be sent to the address which you indicate on your Study in England Programme registration form. If you wish to change this billing address, you can do so over the web at http://www.d.umn.edu/registrar/payfees.html. NOTE:This must be an American address. Any time you pay less than the minimum amount due or you are late, a $20.00 late payment fee will be assessed, with the full amount due; in addition, a hold will be placed on the student's record until the fees are paid in full. Billing and payment dates can also be found at http://www.d.umn.edu/registrar/payfees.html. You can use the web at http://www.d.umn.edu/register to view your updated information on your account. FINANCIAL AIDStudents eligible for financial aid can apply their financial aid to the cost of the programme. Take care of all financial aid details BEFORE you leave for England. Little tolerance is given to those who ignore requests from the Financial Aid Office or the International Education Office to process documents relating to financial aid matters. You can use the web at http://www.d.umn.edu/register to monitor your financial aid. The UMD Financial Aid Office plans on almost all aid and student loans to be applied directly to students' accounts. Some loan checks or scholarships are issued only in hard copy. Deb Good will make arrangements to collect these and send them to England for signature. The Programme Director will return the endorsed checks to the International Education Office for deposit into the respective students' accounts receivable account. ReciprocityTo be eligible for Wisconsin tuition rates, Wisconsin residents attending Minnesota schools of higher education must process a reciprocity form. To be eligible for Minnesota tuition rates, South Dakota and North Dakota residents must process a reciprocity form. Because you are studying abroad, you must reapply for reciprocity. These forms are typically available in March for the upcoming school year and can be sent to you by the International Education Office (IEO) upon request. The forms are also available from your home state reciprocity office. It is recommended that the reciprocity form be processed before the start of fall semester. Plan ahead. Reciprocity is not retroactive.
