AUTOMOBILES

If your parents plan on visiting you and using a car, they will find that it is much less expensive to arrange rentals from the U.S.

It's also a good idea, although not required, for anyone contemplating driving in a foreign country to get an International Driving Permit. Drivers with a valid American driver's license may obtain one from $10 from most AAA offices. (Two passport-type photos are required.)

Just a reminder: Programme policy prohibits student participant car ownership.

Visitors under 24 may find it difficulty and/or expensive to rent cars in Europe.
