Club Meeting

Dear International Students,

1.  Want to be apart of a Northern Minnesota Tradition and make some new American friends? Or maybe get in the spirit for a little holiday cookie fun!
Then come to the Christmas of the North Parade this Friday, November 20th.

This parade goes through the streets of Duluth and signals the beginning of the holiday season. Santa makes his first appearance along with colorful lighted floats, marching bands and pageantry. It is a fabulous free parade and some American students will be giving away homemade Christmas cookies before going to the parade.

Who: The American students are from Brenda Butterfield's Marriages and Families class, who have been working with me. American Students attending are: Breanna Lees, Brad Jude, Stephanie Lucking, Brennin O'Brien, Steph Cagle and Jane Pederson.

Where: Meet in the International Student Club office at 4:30 for cookies, and then the the students will drive you to the Parade which starts at 6:15.  You will be back to campus no later than 8:30.

There is room for 10-12 International students to come. Please RSVP to me by Friday, November 20th at 1:00 pm. If you just want to come for some cookies at 4:30 and not the parade that is fine as well!

Things to remember:
-Dress very warm! We will be standing/sitting outside for an hour or more.  Hat, Mittens/gloves, scarf, winter coat, warm pants, boots or shoes that will keep your feet warm! Blankets are a good idea as well. Bring a fold out chair if you have one

2.  Slide Show Presentation of my trip to South Africa and Botswana this past summer.  Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 5-6 in the Rafters.  I hope to see you there!
