Most assignments will be for ePortfolio. Follow those directions.
For e-mailing assignments,place on subject line--eled1010 - assignment name - section no - last name.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSIGNMENTS (MSWORD)
1. Use a computer with spell-check
2. Include a cover sheet indicating the assignment. Typed. (paper
cover, no plastic). Neat. Size of assignment.
Work needs to be covered and private.

e-mail and hardcopy.
4. Typed Double space (FONT SIZE
12 POINT)
5. Write on one side of the paper only.
6. Leave a one-inch margin.
7. Never use sheets torn out of binders unless the perforated
edges are removed.
8. Use appropriate spacing. Use a readable font size (no 8 or
9 for a total document).
9. Avoid scratches, write-overs, splotches, and lumps of liquid
paper.
10. Make sure your assignment is word-processed. Use spell check!
11. Make sure the pages are numbered and in the correct order.
12. Organize your assignment in logical order.
13. Check your work for punctuation, spelling and grammar mistakes.
14. Be clear and concise.
15. Staple paper together with cover sheet. No paper clips or use paper a
binder.
16. Use paper binders for "thick” projects/papers.
17. Follow any special directions given for an assignment.
18. Assignments handed in on stated due date, unless stated other wise. Late
assignments will have a drop in grade (see
syllabus).
19. For cooperative group projects: set up time schedule, keep journal of
roles, assignments, and note problems and solutions.
Cooperative project assignments should be well organized with all
group work handed in at the same time.
20. Always keep a copy of your assignments in case it gets lost.
21. Save assignments on computer disk. Make two copies of assignments.
**Failure to follow the above requirements will result in a drop of grade. **
JOURNALS: Weekly journals are handwritten. Entries must have complete thoughts, all prompts completed, and neatly written. Journals will be checked weekly at the top of the class during textbook circles. Journals will be collected by the instructor intermittently throughout the semester.
