First Task:

Set up early morning meeting with classroom supervisor, college supervisor, and student teacher to review expectations prior to start by September 21

This meeting will involve signing of contract for the semester and completing honoriums.

Observation and Meeting times should be planned two weeks in advancel. Always check calendar below.

It is the responsibility of the UMD student teacher to set appointments and set up schedule for college supervisor.

Appointments are made by cell phone.

Appointments need to be made at least a week in advance.

Yes, if it is convenient, setting up observation times at beginning of the semester is fine. (6 observations)

Events during visitation : observation, meeting with teacher candidate with teaching materials and binder, meeting with classroom teacher.

PLEASE READ THIS--For College Supervisor

  • Daily e-mail journal from each student teacher
  • Need unit dates at set p meeting.
  • NEED UNITS SENT TO CLASSROOM TEACHER AND SUPERVISOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION
  • Binder with for teaching materials, grades, assesssment materials, etc.
  • Daily lesson plans kept in binder in chronologial order. Lesson plan needed for daily lessons.
  • Binder with materials and lesson plans available to supervisor at each visit--have open to current lesson plan on chair.
  • Need 6 observations
  • 2 INTASC standards sent by email about every two weeks ----completed ahead of presentation to the faculty (10 new standards)
  • Date for presentation ???
  • Student teaching ends last day of finals, Dec. 22.

Classroom Supervisor needs to hand in final evaluation and grade sheet for files and grade.

UMD student teacher needs hand in self-evaluation for files and grade.
