Course Information

This course explores the relationship between environmental education and the p-12 formal school system.  The focus will be on developing the understanding and skills necessary for effectively using environmental education to support the goals of formal education and current education reform efforts.  This course moves beyond lesson-level EE programming to look at broader, program-level approaches to EE; this course is geared toward the nonformal environmental education professional who desires new opportunities and approaches for working with the formal education community.  As part of the course, students will develop and implement a teacher workshop.  EnEd 5850 Classroom Applications is required for this course.
