Why We're Here

The Friends of Half Moon Lake is a nonprofit organization run by Eau Claire community members who have charged themselves with the responsibilities of:

- educating/informing the public about the ecology of the lake, how to keep the lake from becoming polluted, how to improve the water quality of the lake.

- developing community projects towards maintaining and improving the quality of the lake.

The organization was formed in 2004 through the Eau Claire Waterways and Parks Commission by a group of local government officials and interested residents.
